Starlight Doc

In 2022, Starlight Media launched a new line of work – Starlight Doc. This was prompted by the global demand for documentary content about the war in Ukraine, its heroes, and national stories, as well as the high interest of the worldwide film industry in the documentary genre in general. Starlight Doc is a pioneer in the development and popularization of both audience documentaries in Ukraine and such Ukrainian films abroad.

The project is headed by Anastasia Shteyngauz, ICTV and ICTV2 TV channel director. The creative producer is Tetiana Hrebenik.

80% of the product is in-house. However, the team works with documentary products and creates content that is not only for the Ukrainian audience. Many films are realized at the request of European producers in co-development and co-production. At the same time, Starlight Doc is developing its specialized expertise and expanding its content library.

Currently, Starlight Doc is a team of 6 producers. Together, they create ideas and launch the development of documentary projects. Starlight Production, Starlight News Production, and external teams produce the films.

Thanks to the professionalism of the team, the support of Starlight Media and international partners, Starlight Doc makes completely different documentaries: about women in labour during the war, about the ingenuity of Ukrainians at home and the front, a film dedicated to war photographers, about the volunteerism of the rave community, geopolitical world processes and challenges.
